The Stevie Awards for Women in Business honor women executives, entrepreneurs, employees, and the companies they run– worldwide. The Stevie Awards have been hailed as the world’s premier business awards.

More than 1,500 entries were submitted this year for consideration in more than 90 categories, including Executive of the Year, Entrepreneur of the Year, Company of the Year, Startup of the Year, Women Helping Women, and Women Run Workplace of the Year.

Gold, Silver and Bronze Stevie Award winners were determined by the average scores of more than 200 business professionals around the world, working on six juries.

As Hawthorne’s leader, Jessica Hawthorne-Castro has instilled a complete service approach that includes media planning, buying, analytics, campaign management, strategic planning and creative development. She adjusted the company’s focus to align with the TV advertising shift by using technology to measure both audience engagement and campaign success. The agency features advanced techniques such as brain mapping, neurolinguistics, adaptive content and pixel tracking to understand consumer reactions and exceed client needs.

In the last year, Hawthorne-Castro put her agency’s complete approach into practice by leading the development of an innovative brand-response campaign to raise critical funding for a groundbreaking and lifesaving regional children’s hospital that had an extremely limited media budget. The approach not only raised awareness for Children’s Hospital Los Angeles (CHLA) through an emotionally-charged storytelling campaign on radio and TV, but also targeted likely donors and ensured response was measured and accurately tracked/adjusted per specific target audiences and niches and channels.

Hawthorne-Castro has also focused internally within her organization on maximizing quality of life for employees and has created a dynamic workplace that offers advancement for all.
