Julian oversees a department of creative professionals, each bringing their own perspective, thinking and expertise to every creative assignment. From fully integrated campaigns and new business pitches to extremely tactical one-offs, the creative department strives to create work that strikes the perfect balance of rational, emotional and creativity in every execution. As well as managing the creative department, Julian also has a deep engagement with all of Hawthorne’s creative clients throughout the entire creative process.
Prior to Hawthorne, Julian was Associate Creative Director at Phenomenon Entertainment. He has worked as a creative director at global agencies including Crispin Porter + Bogusky in Boulder, CO, Publicis in NYC while also building his career at Arnold Worldwide in Boston as well as boutique hot-shops such as Phenomenon and the Wonderful Agency in Los Angeles. He has worked on brands such as Mr. Cooper, Warner Brothers, Charles Schwab, Citi and Citibank, Volkswagen, the Wonderful Company, The AdCouncil and many others along the way.
And what does Julian do in between his daily creative duties? He takes lots of photographs, he writes (both words and music), rides road and mountain bikes is continually trying to be the best owner to his dog Bernie as possible.
